Stock Keeping Units
Stock Keeping Units (SKU) are unique codes assigned to individual products in inventory management. These codes help businesses track and manage their inventory efficiently by providing a unique identifier for each item.
In Tally ERP 9.0, you can create and manage SKUs by following these steps:
- Go to “Inventory Info” in the Gateway of Tally.
- Select “Stock Items” and click on “Create” to add a new stock item.
- Enter the name of the stock item, and under “Alias,” enter the SKU code.
- Specify the unit of measure, rate, and any other relevant details for the stock item.
- Click on “Accept” to save the new stock item with the assigned SKU code.
- To view the SKUs for all the stock items, go to “Inventory Info” and select “Stock Summary.”
- In the Stock Summary, you can view the SKU codes for each stock item, along with their current stock levels and other details.
By assigning unique SKU codes to each stock item, businesses can easily track and manage their inventory levels, monitor sales trends, and identify slow-moving or fast-selling products. With Tally ERP 9.0, you can easily create and manage SKUs, helping you streamline your inventory management processes and improve your business efficiency.
